The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

We are looking for two part time candidates to join our friendly Reception and Administration team.

This role will be split between reception and admin duties Monday Friday and you could be asked to work at either our Blenheim Medical Centre and The Link Surgery.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to carry out reception, and administration duties on behalf of the clinical team.

You will be supported by a skilled and experienced administrative team.

Responsibilities include providing a courteous and professional reception service for patients and visitors, managing enquiries both in person and over the telephone, and supporting patients in accessing the appropriate services.

You will be required to support the clinicians with administrative tasks and ensure that patient confidentiality is upheld at all times.

Job responsibilities

Reception Duties

  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage patient enquiries in person, via telephone, and online.
  • Provide information regarding appointments, services, and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR.
  • Book, amend, and cancel appointments using the clinical system.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and signpost appropriately.
  • Process payments where required.

Administrative Duties

  • Update records.
  • Handle hospital letters.
  • Patient registrations.
  • Handling medical records.
  • Teamwork & Practice Support
  • Work effectively with clinical and admin staff.
  • Follow practice policies and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Participate in meetings and training.
  • Provide cover for colleagues as needed.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Experience in a GP practice or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of Systm One.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
