Role

  • Role: Residential Property Lawyer/Conveyancer
  • Hours: Full time, 35 per week
  • Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
  • Relocation: Relocation assistance available subject to eligibility

This role is based in our Newport, Isle of Wight office.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and efficiently manage a wide variety of residential property work from instruction to completion, working independently but within an experienced and supportive team.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and third parties, handling enquiries with empathy and professionalism, particularly when clients are vulnerable or under stress.
  • Collaborate with team members across all roles, contributing to a respectful, efficient, and client-centered working environment.
  • Open, maintain, and organise client files using the DPS case management system, following all relevant SRA rules, GDPR requirements, AML obligations, and internal compliance and paper-light policies.
  • Support the growth of the department and company as a whole by actively contributing to agreed business development goals, enhancing our reputation and fostering client referrals.

Qualifications

  • Must hold qualified solicitor status in England and Wales or be a qualified Legal Executive or be a qualified Licensed Conveyancer
  • We estimate that this position would suit somebody with at least 2 years PQE. Newly Qualified candidates should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of a variety of matters they have assisted on during their training.
