Role: Residential Property Lawyer/Conveyancer
Hours: Full time, 35 per week
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
Relocation: Relocation assistance available subject to eligibility
This role is based in our Newport, Isle of Wight office.
Responsibilities
- Effectively and efficiently manage a wide variety of residential property work from instruction to completion, working independently but within an experienced and supportive team.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and third parties, handling enquiries with empathy and professionalism, particularly when clients are vulnerable or under stress.
- Collaborate with team members across all roles, contributing to a respectful, efficient, and client-centered working environment.
- Open, maintain, and organise client files using the DPS case management system, following all relevant SRA rules, GDPR requirements, AML obligations, and internal compliance and paper-light policies.
- Support the growth of the department and company as a whole by actively contributing to agreed business development goals, enhancing our reputation and fostering client referrals.
Qualifications
- Must hold qualified solicitor status in England and Wales or be a qualified Legal Executive or be a qualified Licensed Conveyancer.
- We estimate that this position would suit somebody with at least 2 years PQE. Newly Qualified candidates should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of a variety of matters they have assisted on during their training.

Please be aware all roles require the right to work in the United Kingdom, sponsorship of such right will not be provided. The successful candidate will also require a satisfactory DBS check.
