We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager, reporting to the Operations Manager. The Engineering Manager will lead all maintenance and engineering activities across the site, managing a small team to ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of all equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. The role will drive a proactive maintenance culture, embedding TPM (including AM and PPM), delivering continuous improvement, and supporting operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The main key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead TPM execution, integrating Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance to drive equipment reliability.
  • Deliver predictive and preventive maintenance programmes aligned to key failure modes and performance standards.
  • Ensure robust follow-up of TPM actions, embedding continuous improvement and eliminating repeat failures.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and technical support to Maintenance Technicians, while also supporting manufacturing personnel, by driving a proactive, reliability-focused culture.
  • Plan, allocate, and prioritise maintenance workload in line with operational demand, balancing AM, PPM, and reactive activities.
  • Monitor and drive performance against KPIs (OEE, downtime, MTTR), identifying trends and leading targeted improvement initiatives.
  • Lead engineering activities including installations, upgrades, and process improvements, with a strong focus on root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, and inventory control, ensuring availability of critical spares and cost control.
  • Oversee contractor and supplier performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and value delivery.
  • Lead CAPEX projects from planning through to installation and commissioning.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
