This well-established wholesale supplier is looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day warehouse function. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, with responsibility for ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The role requires a hands-on, proactive leader to maintain high operational standards, drive continuous improvement, and support business growth. You will manage a team of 15-20 and lead the operation through a period of change, including a site relocation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day warehouse operations: managing goods in, inventory management, layout, planning and dispatch.
  • Manage and develop warehouse teams to achieve operational and performance targets.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory planning and accuracy, through effective planning and stock control.
  • Develop and implement warehouse systems to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, through a 'safety-first' approach.
  • Manage the operational team and oversee project planning for the warehouse relocation.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience within a warehouse management role, logistics and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and continuous improvement methods.
  • Hands-on experience with managing and leading an operational team.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
  • Effective communication and organisation skills.
