We are working with a fast-growing business in Yeovil as they launch a brand-new operation and are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the site. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, next-day delivery environment and wants genuine responsibility for shaping and improving an operation from the ground up.
The Role
- You will have total ownership of the warehouse operation, combining hands-on operational leadership with a strategic focus on growth, performance and continuous improvement.
- From establishing processes and standards at the new site through to developing the team and driving operational performance, you will be responsible for making the warehouse a highly efficient, scalable operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full operational ownership of the new warehouse site.
- Lead and develop the warehouse team, creating a strong performance culture.
- Establish processes, SOPs, KPIs and operational standards from the ground up.
- Ensure consistently high performance within a next-day delivery environment.
- Drive continuous improvement across productivity, accuracy, quality and cost.
- Manage labour planning, resource utilisation and operational capacity.
- Develop the operation to support significant future growth.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Work closely with senior leadership and other functions to align warehouse performance with wider business objectives.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance and housekeeping.
- Be highly visible and hands-on within the operation, leading from the front.
About You
