Salary: £43,000-£45,000

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Transport Manager with a CPC to lead a fast-paced transport operation. This role requires a hands-on leader who can make decisions confidently, drive performance, and build a strong operational culture. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations function, ensuring service levels, compliance, and operational efficiency are consistently delivered. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day transport operation to ensure smooth and efficient delivery performance
  • Lead and develop transport teams, creating a positive and accountable culture
  • Ensure compliance with all transport legislation, health & safety, and operational procedures
  • Drive operational improvements and implement effective processes
  • Monitor KPIs, service levels, and operational costs
  • Make proactive decisions to support operational performance and customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure high service standards

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience within a Transport Manager or similar leadership role
  • CPC qualification is a must
  • Strong decision-making ability and a calm approach under pressure
  • Resilient, adaptable, and forward-thinking leadership style
  • Hands-on manager who leads from the front
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Strong understanding of transport operations, compliance, and planning
