This well-established wholesale supplier is looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day warehouse function. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, with responsibility for ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
The role requires a hands-on, proactive leader to maintain high operational standards, drive continuous improvement, and support business growth. You will manage a team of 15-20 and lead the operation through a period of change, including a site relocation.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations managing goods in, inventory management, layout, planning and dispatch.
- Manage and develop warehouse teams to achieve operational and performance targets.
- Monitor and maintain inventory planning and accuracy, through effective planning and stock control.
- Develop and implement warehouse systems to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, through a 'safety-first' approach.
- Manage the operational team and oversee project planning for the warehouse relocation.
- Proven experience within a warehouse management role, logistics and inventory control.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and continuous improvement methods.
- Hands-on experience with managing and leading an operational team.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
- Effective communication and organisation skills.
