The predicted salary is between 47000 - 63000 £ per year.
You will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, global logistics, and leading the demand planning strategy to support the efficient global movement. You will take a hands-on approach to managing a dynamic team, working closely with global commercial and operational stakeholders to ensure just-in-time inventory positioning and cost-effective delivery. Ideally you will have experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or cold chain industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day warehouse operations
- Manage all logistics operations, including freight procurement, contract negotiation, and relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and airlines
- Ensuring the provision of a first-class service in the most cost-effective manner
- Implement a global demand planning strategy
- Manage the receiving/despatch of goods in line with customer needs while ensuring individual and team KPI's are met
- Ensure that all inventory is accounted for and stored correctly
- Maintain strong compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in operations and logistics management, ideally in a global supply chain environment
- Proven experience of delivering against agreed budgets and KPI's
- Proven leadership abilities with the presence and charisma to lead a sizeable team
- An understanding of CI techniques, KPI management, Employment Law and H&S legislation
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in demand planning and freight procurement
- Commercially minded with excellent negotiation skills and cost control focus
- Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Six Sigma
