Key Responsibilities:
- Ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day transport and warehouse operations
- Ensuring the provision of a first-class service in the most cost-effective manner
- Efficient management of vehicle scheduling and the maximisation of vehicle utilisation
- Manage the receiving / despatch of goods in line with customer needs while ensuring individual and team KPI's are met
- Ensure that all inventory is accounted for and stored correctly
- Recruitment, retention and training of the Warehouse and Transport teams
Key Skills/Experience:
- Track record in a similar role within a customer centric transport and warehouse operation
- Transport Manager CPC is essential
- Proven experience of delivering against agreed budgets and KPI's
- Ensuring site compliance with all relevant employment / transport legislation
- Proven leadership abilities with the presence and charisma to lead a sizeable team
- An understanding of CI techniques, KPI management, Employment Law and H&S legislation
