At Bis Henderson, we have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader to join the team at a specialist FMCG company at their Dartford site. As the Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing processes and a small team of individuals. The successful candidate will drive best practice and continuous improvement within their area of responsibility, and will take a hands-on approach to guide and support their direct reports to achieve their full potential. This is a progressive business who look to develop their team, so someone who is driven and keen to progress to Shift Manager level is particularly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the receiving / despatch of goods in line with customer needs and ensure relevant individual and team KPI’s are met.
- Ensure that all inventory is accounted for and stored correctly.
- People management; motivating the team, organising workloads, briefing the team before shifts, conducting 1-2-1s and acting on any HR related requirements.
- Proactively drive continuous improvement and lead change in line with business objectives.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health and safety regulations at all times.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience managing a team within a warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to manage, guide and support the team to achieve goals.
- Able to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and able to use own initiative.
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures.
