This major global business specialises in providing supply chain solutions to the aerospace and defence industries. With a reputation for excellence, precision, and service, they support some of the world's leading OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and defence contractors. They are now looking to appoint an Inside Sales Representative to transact business with customers submitting incoming sales enquiries.
Key Responsibilities- To be the primary point of contact for inside sales coverage, responding to incoming enquiries from prospects and existing customers.
- Respond promptly and professionally to RFQ's and other forms of incoming enquiries to service customer needs in a speedy, efficient manner.
- Prepare and submit quotes, pricing proposals and give information on immediate parts availability and lead times.
- Work closely with business development, procurement and operations teams to convert inbound opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
- Use internal ERP and CRM systems to effectively manage and report on incoming sales activity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within sales processes.
- Have proven experience in an inside sales, customer service or sales support role preferably working with customers from the aerospace, defence or a closely related sector.
- Confident working with RFQs, pricing and inventory systems as well as CRM tools.
- A background of experience in component or parts sales would be beneficial.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
- Well-developed customer liaison and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly take on board technical information relating to components and hardware used in the aerospace and defence sectors.
