Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Fulfilment Manager to take ownership of the outbound warehouse performance from order release through to carrier handover within an online retailer. Based in Keynsham, this is a hands-on leadership role focused on turning forecast and live demand into clear labour and shift plans, keeping flow under control hour by hour, protecting carrier cut-offs and ensuring customers receive their orders safely, accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Fulfilment Manager will lead disciplined shift execution across pick, pack, consolidation and dispatch, developing Team Leaders and embedding standard ways of working that deliver service, productivity and quality consistently.
- Translate forecast and live order demand into daily and shift labour plans.
- Own the pick, pack, consolidation and dispatch performance, ensuring orders are completed before carrier cut-off.
- Monitor plan versus actual performance by shift and hour, identifying risk early and rebalancing resources quickly.
- Set and sustain standard work, workstation discipline, clear routines and effective shift handovers.
- Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders across safety, pace, quality, attendance and accountability.
- Oversee and improve the warehouse layout.
Experience:
The successful candidate will be a visible, fair and exacting warehouse leader with the operating grip to plan flow, coach frontline leaders and maintain control across busy fulfilment shifts.
- Proven experience managing fulfilment, warehouse operations or outbound distribution in a fast-paced, customer-led environment.
- Strong people leadership skills, with experience developing Team Leaders or Supervisors across multiple shifts.
- Confident using labour plans, hourly performance data and operational KPIs to make timely decisions.
- Able to sustain safety, quality, productivity and attendance standards through clear routines and follow-up.
- Understands the connection between inbound accuracy, replenishment, pick-face availability and outbound service performance.
- Comfortable being floor-based, visible and hands-on while still bringing structure, discipline and continuous improvement.
