Summary: We are looking for an experienced Head of IT Business Systems to lead the development, integration, and continuous improvement of our clients business systems landscape. This is a key leadership role for someone who can bridge the gap between IT and operations, understanding complex business requirements and delivering technology solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and customer service. The ideal candidate will come from a fast-paced, time-sensitive FMCG or supply chain environment and have a strong background in business analysis, systems integration, and business transformation. You will be comfortable managing demanding internal and external stakeholders, including key customers, suppliers, and technology partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT Business Systems function, ensuring systems support the wider operational and commercial objectives of the business
- Work closely with operational, supply chain, and commercial teams to understand business challenges and translate them into effective technology solutions
- Manage business analysis activities, gathering requirements, mapping processes, and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Drive systems integration projects across ERP, WMS, TMS, and other business-critical platforms
- Develop and improve Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) solutions, ensuring accurate data flow and strong customer service performance
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external customers, software providers, and third-party technology partners
- Lead system development roadmaps, upgrades, implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting capability, and system performance across the business
- Work with development teams, vendors, and IT colleagues to deliver robust, scalable solutions
- Support business growth by identifying new technologies and system capabilities that improve efficiency and customer experience
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior IT Business Systems, Business Analyst, Systems Integration, or IT Transformation role
- Experience within a fast-moving, time-critical FMCG, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environment
- Strong understanding of ERP, WMS, TMS, and integrated business systems
- Experience managing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) processes and customer integrations
- Strong business analysis skills, including process mapping and requirements gathering
- Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels
- Experience managing demanding internal customers, external clients, and third-party vendors
- Strong commercial awareness and a customer-focused mindset
