Salary: £28,000.00 - £32,000

Hours: 4 on 4 off 8am - 8pm

Summary: We are looking for a proactive and organised Traffic Controller to join a busy, fast-paced transport office. Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 8:00am to 8:00pm, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring drivers are briefed and debriefed effectively, and maintaining accurate transport administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence using IT systems in a time-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brief and debrief drivers at the start and end of each shift
  • Accurately input and update information across transport and administrative IT systems
  • Support the day-to-day coordination of transport activity within a busy traffic office
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, colleagues, customers, and service providers
  • Produce and maintain accurate transport documentation, reports, and records
  • Respond to operational queries and help resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Work closely with the wider transport team to ensure an efficient and compliant operation

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a transport, logistics, traffic, or fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to administration
  • Accurate and confident use of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and transport systems
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
