We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the warehouse operation. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse performance, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and the achievement of business objectives.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective performance.
- Drive a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, service levels, and profitability.
- Manage and motivate a large operational team, fostering engagement and high performance.
- Ensure KPIs are achieved across service, quality, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and operational reporting.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and best practice across the site.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior warehouse or logistics leadership role, ideally as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Distribution Centre Manager.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable success in delivering operational improvements and achieving performance targets.
- Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience within a third-party logistics (3PL), retail, FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution environment would be advantageous.
