Ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day transport operation:
- Ensuring the provision of a first-class service in the most cost-effective manner
- Efficient management of vehicle scheduling and the maximisation of vehicle utilisation
- Recruitment, retention and training of the distribution team
Key Skills/Experience:
- Track record in a similar role within a customer centric transport operation
- Transport Manager CPC is essential
- Proven experience of delivering against agreed budgets and KPI's
- Ensuring site compliance with all relevant employment / transport legislation
- Proven leadership abilities with the presence and charisma to lead a sizeable team
