We are recruiting for a busy e-commerce distribution warehouse working to tight daily deadlines. Orders must be picked, packed and dispatched on time, with a large proportion of these orders also being produced on demand in our production department. We are seeking an organised, proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. This role involves coordinating staff, keeping workflows moving smoothly and efficiently, and ensuring our dispatch targets are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, practical problem-solving ability, and the technical confidence to keep key operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and support the warehouse team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Operate FLT vehicles (counterbalance and reach) as required.
- Ensure dispatch and production targets are consistently achieved.
- Manage the site, including opening and closing up.
- Run pickwaves and manage stock replenishment processes.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC and sewing machines.
- Identify operational issues before they escalate and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate clearly with management when issues require escalation.
- Conduct basic HR duties including timesheet approval, absence management and arranging staff cover.
- Allocate staff resources effectively based on shifting demand.
- Train new team members and upskill existing staff.
About You
- Valid counterbalance licence.
- Previous experience supervising a warehouse team.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, dispatch workflows and stock processes.
- Ability to manage staff performance and support team development.
- Confident maintaining basic machinery and troubleshooting minor faults.
- Strong communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Highly organised, detail-focused and able to work under pressure.
- Experience working with CNC and/or sewing equipment.
- Valid reach truck certificate.
