Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a highly respected and well-established self-storage business with a strong and growing presence across the UK. The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites, including storage facilities, office buildings, and retail units. This is a multi-site role requiring travel between locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and reactive electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs across multiple sites.
- Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards, including Permit to Work systems and incident reporting procedures.
- Maintain safe, clean, and compliant working environments and support general site upkeep where required.
- Accurately record completed work, materials used, and associated costs using internal systems.
Person Specification
- Fully qualified electrician with completed apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), along with 18th Edition certification.
- IPAF licence and CSCS card preferred, with a strong understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessments.
- Full UK driving licence, with the ability to work independently and manage workload to meet targets.
- Proficient in the use of IT systems to log work and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
