As a rapidly expanding and successful group encompassing all aspects of the meat trade, we are currently recruiting a reliable and professional Class 1 Trunk Driver to join our team on nights. The role involves operating a Class 1 vehicle for trunking work from our Irlam depot to our Milton Keynes depot, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Our business as a catering butcher has over 100 years of experience in the meat and farming industries. All products are prepared daily in the factory at Manchester to each customer\’s specifications, packaged and labelled to and above legislation, and then delivered directly throughout the UK. About the Role Working alongside our dispatch and transport teams, the main responsibilities of a Class 1 Trunk HGV Driver include: Operating a Class 1 HGV for trunking routes between depots (distributions centres of cold stores), maintaining compliance with all traffic laws, driving regulations, and company policies. Carrying out pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with regulations, and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
