To provide a reception service to all patients attending ward 1, Renal unit outpatient department and Urodynamics nursing team. This will include checking in patients for outpatient clinics and Hemodialysis on a daily basis. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring all outpatient activity is cashed up correctly on the epic system on a daily basis.

To provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Department of Nephrology, to ensure all data is recorded accurately, records are kept up to date and correspondence goes out in a timely manner.

Provide front desk reception cover to the outpatient’s area of Ward one (Renal unit)

Check patients in and out of their outpatient appointments on EPIC & cash up outpatient activity on a daily basis.

Admit and discharge patients onto the Hemodialysis unit on a daily basis.

Direct telephone calls to the appropriate places within the Department.

Make and send out follow up appointments in conjunction with Call Centre and Consultants.

Outcome clinics on EPIC.

Book patient transport when required.

Chase up results for patients on the Renal Transplant program.

Check and amend letters and send out to relevant parties.

Participate in data collection and provide data to Surgical Management team when requested.
