Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a midwife to join our Professional Practice Team as a Clinical Midwife Educator with a focus on Newly Qualified Midwives.

Responsibilities

  • Support newly qualified midwives (NQMs) throughout their preceptorship period with skills acquisition and facilitation of competence and confidence building.
  • Support new staff to the Trust and rotational staff who are new to areas, ensuring safe and effective care.
  • Facilitate clinical skills sessions.
  • Provide mentorship and support for completion of competencies.
  • Provide clinical support to staff on varied shift patterns as part of a 24/7 service as a bleep holder.

Qualifications

  • Must be an NMC registered midwife.
