Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a locum Obstetric Consultant with a specialist interest in Fetal Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and ambitious team at our Birmingham Women’s Hospital site which has 7,400 births per year.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Obstetric and Fetal Medicine service, collaborating closely with the direct team and the wider fetal medicine network.
- Deliver 10 scheduled Programmed Activities (PAs) per week as part of an annualised contract.
- Participate in a 1‑in‑14 on‑call rota and manage on‑call duties as required.
- Operate within the Trust’s local policies and procedures, and comply with Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions.
- If managing staff, observe all local employment and personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of patient care and continuous service improvement, contributing to the Trust’s green CQC rating.

- Consultant level experience in Obstetrics.
