The predicted salary is between 30414 - 36989 £ per year.
One full-time Band 5 Orthoptist position is available. The patient cohort includes a range of complex conditions such as retinoblastoma, paediatric cataract, uveitis, glaucoma, neuroophthalmology, ciliopathy, rare diabetes, retinal and craniofacial disorders, contact lens, and inherited metabolic diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic support including IOP pressure measurement, fundus and digital photography, and contact lens insertion and removal management.
- Work in orthoptic, refraction, and medic clinics.
- Take part in orthoptic lead medical clinics.
- Participate in the training of pre-registration optometrists, medical students and other health professionals.
Qualifications:
- Newly qualified, or awaiting final qualification orthoptists are welcome to apply.
- Relevant experience in orthoptics is an advantage.
