General Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing the organization’s accounting principles, procedures, and initiatives. Supervise accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, investments, long-term debt, and general ledger closing. Prepare financial reports and serve as a leader during annual inventory and audits. Perform financial research and analysis as requested by the Accounting Manager, Comptroller, Assistant General Manager of Finance and Administration, or General Manager.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience
Eight (8) years of accounting experience required, preferably in the utility industry. Four (4) years of supervisory experience are required. Knowledge and experience in finance and budget operations with a working understanding of correctly charging O&M and Capital expenses required. Excellent supervisory/leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills. SAP-FI, SAP-CO, and SAP-FICA experience are strongly preferred. Grant accounting experience preferred. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft PowerPoint are strongly preferred.
