Come be a part of what God is doing in Birmingham!
We are seeking more than someone to simply maintain a ministry. We are looking for a pioneering leader who will build on strong foundations and help shape the future of worship within our growing church community. As part of the pastoral team, you will provide pastoral oversight to our worship ministries, cultivating spiritually healthy teams, nurturing leaders, and fostering a culture of spirit‑led worship. Your influence will extend beyond the worship ministry, contributing to the health and growth of the whole church through areas such as preaching, teaching, and broader pastoral leadership. There will also be opportunities to discern and develop your wider pastoral calling, such as site pastoring.
This role may be combined with the other Assistant Pastor position currently being recruited, forming a single full‑time appointment, or it may be applied for as a standalone, part‑time role.
Salary: Dependent on experience £27,000 - £33,500 pro rata
Work Pattern/Hours: The role is based on 2.5 days per week (17.5 hours)
Application closing date: Sunday, 15 March at 23:59
If you require any reasonable adjustments due to accessibility needs in order to participate fully in the interview process, please let us know, and we will be happy to accommodate you.
City Transformation is the umbrella term encompassing our existing compassion ministries and ministries with an outward focus to serve those beyond the church. The successful candidate will not be a maintainer of a ministry but a pioneering leader who will build on what already exists to serve our growing church community. You will be part of the pastoral team and be responsible for pastoral oversight of City Transformation at Birmingham Vineyard. The role of Assistant Pastor means you will have a presence and influence that extends beyond the core ministry you oversee to strengthen and contribute to the health of the whole church, for example, but not limited to preaching and teaching. There will also be opportunities to discern and develop your wider pastoral calling, such as site pastoring.
This role may be combined with the other Assistant Pastor position currently being recruited, forming a single full‑time appointment, or it may be applied for as a standalone, part‑time role.
