Join our People Team and help create a welcoming, professional recruitment experience for every candidate who wants to make a difference at Birmingham Hospice.

Birmingham Hospice is looking for a highly organised Recruitment Administrator to join our busy, friendly and enthusiastic People Team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support recruitment activity from advert placement and interview scheduling through to onboarding, pre-employment checks and induction arrangements.

You will play an important part in helping candidates feel informed, supported and welcomed from their first contact with us.

Alongside recruitment administration, you will have the opportunity to contribute to wider People Team projects, including colleague engagement, wellbeing initiatives, leadership development and improvements to our systems and processes.

  • What we’re looking for
  • Experience of working within an HR or People Team environment.
  • Strong administrative skills, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of using HR information systems and confidence working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A good working knowledge of GDPR principles, confidentiality and handling sensitive HR data.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a commitment to providing a positive applicant and onboarding experience.
  • The ability to prioritise, manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Personal resilience and emotional intelligence, including the ability to work sensitively in a hospice environment.
  • A willingness to participate in training and keep knowledge up to date.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support to the People Team, delivering an excellent service to colleagues, managers, applicants and new starters.
