Salary: Hospice Clinical Band 7 – £44,835 to £51,307 (pro rata for part-time)

Locations: Selly Park & Erdington (community-based with cross-site working)

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our vibrant Community Team. You will bring your expertise in specialist palliative care to patients across the city, offering high‑quality clinical care, guidance, and support.

This is a unique opportunity for an autonomous practitioner who thrives in community settings and enjoys managing a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient‑centred care and contribute to the ongoing development of our services.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver expert palliative care to patients, families, carers and health professionals across the community.
  • Assess complex clinical situations and develop effective, personalised care plans.
  • Work independently while remaining an active partner within a skilled multidisciplinary team.
  • Support learning and development through informal and formal teaching.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 1 Adult Registered Nurse & prescriber or currently completing the NMP course; NMC registered.
  • Post‑registration qualification in palliative care, or willingness to undertake one.
  • Significant experience as a senior nurse, ideally with teaching responsibilities.
  • Advanced experience in an acute hospital or hospice at Band 7 (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Own car and full UK driving licence.
