Birmingham Settlement is looking to appoint to the new role of Chief Operating Officer to help us continue to deliver the safe, high-quality services our people want, deserve, and expect. Working closely with the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will help translate strategic vision into operational delivery by ensuring the Settlement has the systems, people, and processes in place to achieve its goals.
This includes operational support and leadership: working closely with managers and service leads to drive the Settlement’s delivery and people strategies, embedding culture, and organisational development to create and take opportunities while also delivering effective financial management, governance, compliance, and risk management.
To succeed, you will have significant experience in the charity sector at a senior level with a proven track record in service delivery and charity compliance. You will have excellent communication and leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire to get the best out of people as well as an understanding of the issues the Settlement strives to challenge.
As a critical member of the Settlement’s leadership team, you will play a key role in supporting sustainability, development and implementation of our longer-term strategic plans. This will be a very busy but rewarding visible and hands-on role that cuts across all aspects of the charity as we continue to grow and develop.
