We are a small Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Probate law firm in the Mountain Brook area seeking an administrative assistant to join our team. Prior administrative experience is preferred, but not required. Initial pay would be based on experience but growth opportunities are available. Our office hours are from 8am to 4pm. Dress is business casual, and parking is plentiful and free. We have a therapy/support dog, Pax, who is also in the office with us most days, so please keep that in mind when applying.
Job Duties:
- Greeting clients
- Answering phones
- Drafting, printing, and organizing legal documents
- Learning paralegal tasks
- Courthouse runs
- Various errands for attorneys
- Scheduling appointments
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of document management software
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like computers, printers, and desktop scanners
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
