Birmingham Panthers is an ambitious, early-stage sports brand on a journey to grow audiences, fill arenas and become a leading name in women’s sport. We’re a small, fast-moving team where people take ownership, move quickly and make things happen. As Fan Communications Executive, you’ll sit at the heart of how we connect with fans. You’ll own and grow our direct-to-fan channels, social, email and our digital platforms, turning attention into action. The role is about building a connected ecosystem that captures first-party data, drives ticket sales and creates a loyal Panthers community. This is not a “post and report” role, it’s about thinking creatively, testing ideas and helping shape how a modern sports brand grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Channel Ownership & Growth
- Oversee and grow all social media channels day-to-day
- Own email marketing delivery (with agency support)
- Maintain and update the Panthers digital home/website
- Continuously improve reach, engagement and conversion across all channels
- Fan Funnel & Data Capture
- Build and optimise the fan journey from awareness -> sign-up -> purchase -> loyalty
- Drive first-party data growth through content, campaigns and sign-up mechanics
- Support ticket, merchandise and event sales through all channels
- Work closely with Head of Audience Growth on CRM and data strategy
- Content Creation & Execution
- Capture content across training, matchdays and community activity
- Create engaging, platform-native content and schedules for it to fit into
- Bring player personalities and behind-the-scenes stories to life
- Ensure all content has a clear purpose: grow, engage or convert
- Collaboration Across the Club
- Work closely with players, coaches and staff to source content
- Support community, performance and commercial teams in amplifying activity
- Help embed a consistent tone of voice across all communications
