Our Engineering Support Team keeps everything moving, from the moment a sale is agreed to the day our engineers install and maintain the equipment on site.
THE ROLE – PURPOSE
We are looking for an organised, detail-focused Engineering & Logistics Administrator to join our Engineering Support Team. You will support the planning and coordination of equipment deliveries, installations and engineer visits across the UK and Ireland. Working closely with our Sales, Key Account, Warehouse and Engineering teams, you will help ensure that equipment and engineers are scheduled efficiently and that customers receive a professional and reliable service. This is a varied and busy administrative role for someone who enjoys organisation, problem solving and working with different teams. You will need to be comfortable managing competing priorities, working to deadlines and ensuring that important details are accurately recorded and communicated.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Working with multiple teams to arrange pre-delivery inspection (PDI), transport and installation of new equipment orders
- Liaising with Key Account Managers to ensure installation requirements are understood and communicated effectively
- Supporting the planning of delivery routes and engineer diaries across the UK and Ireland
- Scheduling planned maintenance visits within service windows and ensuring reports and certificates are issued correctly
- Working with the Engineer Deployment Coordinator to coordinate planned and reactive work
- Supporting overseas deliveries, including the Republic of Ireland, alongside the Engineering Support Manager
- Handling service enquiries from customers by phone, email and customer portals
- Keeping customer asset registers up to date and processing service invoices through to our accounting system
- Liaising with the Warehouse team regarding stock and equipment queries
- Arranging travel and accommodation for the engineering team
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring relevant documentation is completed and filed correctly
- Providing general administrative support to the Engineering Support Team as required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience in an administrative, coordination or scheduling role
- Experience of supporting the planning of transport, deliveries, field engineer or service visits would be advantageous
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to deadlines
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- The ability to work on your own initiative while also working effectively as part of a team
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
- Good UK geographical and postcode knowledge would be desirable
- Experience within a service, engineering, medical or optical equipment environment would be desirable
