About the Role
Birmingham Newman University enjoys a strong and established reputation in Sport, Sport Science, and Sport Coaching, and is now seeking to expand its provision in Sport and Exercise Therapy. We are seeking a graduate sports therapist, who is a member of the Society of Sports Therapists, to teach on BSc Sport and Exercise Therapy. The candidate will work closely with the programme leader and will play a leading role in the development and management of a Sports massage clinic and an injury clinic.
Responsibilities
- The post holder will design, plan and deliver a range of learning activities utilising a range of teaching methods.
- Prepare and mark assessments.
- Improve teaching by self-reflection and student feedback.
- Engage with wider university business.
- Lead Sport and Exercise Therapy modules.
- Supervise undergraduate students and provide clinical support where necessary.
- Act as a personal tutor and play an active role in the wider School and the University as a whole.
