We are currently looking to grow our pool of casual Food & Beverage Assistants to support the team as and when required. Ideally you will be hard working, enthusiastic & sales orientated as well as having a flexible approach.
You will be part of the team working across Birmingham Museums Trust unique food and beverage outlets; including the Signal Box Cafe and Edwardian Tea Room, however you may be required to work at other BMT sites from time to time as the business requires.
You will be preparing and serving food and drink, always delivering excellent customer service. You'll be proactively upselling and ensuring that visitors have a great experience of dining with us. A trip to the cafe is an important part of the visitor experience at any museum, so you will play a critical role in the customer journey!
Most of the shifts you may be asked to cover will be during our normal opening times (ie: 10am - 5pm daily, including weekends). By applying for these roles you are confirming that you are available to work various shifts as and when required during these times.
To succeed in these roles we are looking for the following:
- Cash handling experience
- Previous experience within a similar environment
- Food Safety Level 2 and Food Allergen training preferable - however full training will be given
- Have a great eye for detail and is an excellent organised individual.
- Able to demonstrate previous experience of upselling items
