Job Description

Residential Support Worker (Mental Health), Flint Green House

Location: Acocks Green, Birmingham

Salary: £24,570 (£12,285 pro rata) per annum

Hours: 18.75 hours per week (Part time working flexible shifts Monday to Sunday)

Post holders must be able to work flexible shifts Monday to Sunday. There is also a requirement for the post holders to be available to work sleep-in duties (for which there is a separate allowance paid).

Our Residents are looking for someone who is “pleasant, respectful, approachable, easy to speak to, willing to listen and someone who thinks on their feet.”

Do you have an interest in working with those who experience mental health distress who are living in a Residential Care Home?

We are a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands. As a Residential Support Worker, you will work in partnership with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties using a person-centred recovery approach that focuses on maintaining and strengthening their presence in the community.

You will have at least 12 months’ experience of working in an adult social care environment or health and social care setting and be able to demonstrate Birmingham Mind’s values.
