We are seeking a professional and caring Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), to join our busy community team, based in Selly Park.

As a CNS you will work across the city and may be required to travel to our other site in Erdington from time to time.

You will provide specialist palliative care nursing services to our patients, families carers and other health professionals.

You will be able to analyse complex situations and develop action plans to improve the quality of patient care.

You will actively contribute to multidisciplinary working and will be able to recognise the importance of knowledge and learning to maintain standards in palliative care.

You will be comfortable working as an autonomous palliative care practitioner and will be required to manage a caseload of patients within the community setting.

  • You will be a Level 1 Adult registered prescribing nurse, with current NMC registration with a relevant post registration qualification in palliative care (or be willing to undertake)
  • You will have substantial experience at a senior nurse level with experience in clinical informal and formal teaching
  • You will have advanced experience within acute hospital or hospice at Band 7, or equivalent
  • You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You will be a car owner/driver with access to your own vehicle and hold a current full UK driving licence
