Catering Manager Duties: As the Catering Manager, you will oversee the entire catering department across two hospice sites and our community cafe, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious, and aesthetically pleasing meals to patients, visitors, and staff. Your role will involve designing rotational menus, implementing cost-effective procedures, leading and developing a team of chefs and catering assistants, and fostering excellent stakeholder engagement. You will also manage budgets, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, and develop innovative catering solutions that reflect our organisation’s values and promote patient and visitor satisfaction.

Catering Manager Requirements:

  • Proven experience in catering management, preferably within healthcare or similar settings
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and legislation including HACCP and CQC requirements
  • Ability to design and implement innovative menus compliant with dietary standards such as IDDSI
