As our Catering Administrator, you will provide vital administrative support to the Catering Manager and wider Catering Team. You will play a key role in keeping our two hospice sites and external café running smoothly. Join our Catering Team and help us deliver excellent, safe, and well-organised catering services across Birmingham Hospice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys administration, thrives on accuracy, and loves keeping busy in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Supporting day-to-day catering operations across all locations
- Ordering provisions and equipment from external suppliers and raising accurate purchase orders
- Managing staff rotas and ensuring adequate cover across sites
- Preparing payroll forms for approval
- Maintaining accurate audit, Health & Safety, and compliance records
- Producing food labels that meet environmental health regulations
- Handling order forms and recharging costs for internal and external buffet requests
- General administrative support such as filing and photocopying across all catering areas
Qualifications
- Educated to A-Level / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experienced administrator (ideally in a similar administrative role) with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organise workloads and manage deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use initiative
- A flexible and supportive team player
