Overview
At Birmingham Hospice, every patient you support is someone's parent, partner, friend, or neighbour.
Through expert rehabilitation, symptom management and compassionate care, you will help people maximise their independence, achieve what matters most to them and improve their quality of life.
As part of a multidisciplinary team you will work across hospice inpatient, outpatient and community services, supporting patients and families with complex needs and delivering holistic rehabilitation focused on what matters most to them.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy assessment and intervention for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
- Promote independence, function, wellbeing and quality of life through personalised rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Membership of RCOT or CSP, as appropriate.
- Minimum Band 5 post-registration clinical experience, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in rehabilitation, community, long-term conditions, neurology, respiratory, older people's or palliative care is advantageous.
- A positive attitude, adaptability and willingness to learn.
- Full UK driving licence and business-use vehicle access.
