The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Permanent role, full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Working Pattern: 1 day delivery, 3 days coordination, 1 day planning and admin. Tuesday-Saturday working week during term time, with regular evening work required on Wednesdays.

Location: Hybrid, with delivery onsite at Birmingham Hippodrome, and occasional visits to other venues. You must have or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Job Summary

To work closely with the Young People & Community Manager to design, plan, coordinate and deliver key elements of the participation programme, including liaison with key contacts and project administration. To plan and deliver high quality, inspiring and exciting projects and activities as part of Birmingham Hippodrome’s multi-artform programme, delivering impact, opportunity, personal and skills development for the young people of our region.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a specialism in Drama / Musical Theatre / Dance / Spoken Word / Performing Arts, including experience in education and participation settings. You will need experience of managing creative projects and working in an administrative role, knowledge of good practice in schools, and knowledge of safeguarding practice in relation to young people. You’ll have the ability to devise and lead workshops, and a strong commitment to inclusion and access.

About The Department

Creative Partnerships is a very social, caring and ambitious department that produces high-quality work with large international companies and has the friendly fun nature of a strong team. We have a number of people in the team who were young people on our programmes and now work with us! Recently, we partnered with Rambert Dance company to create a new dance performance, and took the cast to Digbeth Loc Studios to meet Peaky Blinder’s creator, Steven Knight. This is the second time young people from our network have met him!

Some of our upcoming plans include: a brand-new cohort of Young Advocates who will be working on paid placements across the theatre with us, partnering with Sao Paulo Dance Company for a new curtain raiser project, and we’ll be performing two brand new youth theatre shows in June.
