About The Role

Our Information & Sales Assistants ensure everyone is welcome by providing excellent service standards over the phone, through email, webchat, and face-to-face on our front counter. The role will ensure sales are maximised and that the customer experience is always of the highest standard by providing a welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service. This will involve working in all Information & Sales locations, and on occasion, at off-site events. This role is primarily evening and weekend work, with weekday shifts starting from 12pm.

About The Team

Our Information & Sales team are a hard-working, social, fun-loving team who work in a fast-paced office with cheerful tunes on the radio. Their office has a full-length balcony complete with a micro-garden for staff to enjoy! The team has won a high number of Hippodrome Headliner Awards (internal staff awards) for their excellent work, and are looking forward to an exciting programme of upcoming events that they'll be handling tickets for.

About You

We’re looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who can assist all patrons in a helpful and friendly manner. You’ll have experience with databases or computerised ticketing systems, experience in handling payments and refunds, and strong numeracy skills. It would be ideal if you also have experience working in a box office, handling complaints, and making telephone sales. You must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Please Note

We’re looking to hire up to three people for this role. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 8 April, onsite at Birmingham Hippodrome. On this occasion, we will not be able to accommodate video calls or alternative dates. We may also require a short telephone interview prior to this date. Successful candidates will be required to attend four days of training onsite on Tuesday 5 May - Friday 8 May, 10am-5pm. This training is mandatory and cannot be rescheduled - you must be available during this period. Our flexible workers are paid monthly.
