Nursery Officer (Part-time) – Join the dedicated team at Allens Croft Nursery School, Birmingham. This term‑time only role is 3 days a week (Monday‑Wednesday) and supports our local authority maintained nursery provision for children aged 2‑4 years.

Role Overview

The position requires a rotating shift pattern of 8am‑4pm and 9am‑5pm, subject to the school\'s needs. Visits are warmly welcomed and encouraged prior to application or interview.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the full nursery provision for children aged 2‑4 years.
  • Assist with daily childcare activities in a high standard, safe and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure children’s well‑being, emotional and physical care.
  • Maintain childcare records, observations and contribute to daily reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Registered with the relevant professional body (CPD, etc.) – where applicable.
  • Pre‑employment checks: Enhanced DBS, Childcare Disqualification check, Medical fitness, Right to work in the UK, enhanced checks under Part 7 of the Immigration Act.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection – must complete Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Recruitment of Ex‑Offenders Policy before starting.
  • Fluent spoken English.
