This is a full‑time, on‑site HGV Class 2 ADR Tanker Driver role based in Aston. The driver will safely operate an HGV Class 2 fuel tanker to deliver fuel and oil products to commercial, agricultural and domestic customers, following all ADR and company safety procedures. Daily duties include:
- Completing pre‑ and post‑journey vehicle checks
- Loading and unloading fuel
- Handling delivery documentation
- Accurately recording quantities and deliveries
- Adhering to driving hours regulations
- Maintaining the tanker and associated equipment in a clean, roadworthy condition
- Providing courteous on‑site customer service
- Communicating delivery updates to the office
- Reporting any incidents, defects, or delays promptly
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 license, with up‑to‑date Driver CPC and clean or low‑points driving record
- Valid ADR certification and strong awareness of hazardous materials handling and transport regulations
- Proven HGV driving skills, including safe truck driving and competent operation of heavy vehicles such as tankers
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and depot staff
- Good knowledge of UK road network, tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations, and safe route planning
- Ability to work independently, follow procedures accurately, and maintain detailed delivery and compliance records
- Basic mechanical awareness to identify vehicle defects and support routine checks and maintenance reporting
- Previous experience in fuel delivery to both commercial and domestic properties, tanker operations, or petroleum logistics is highly beneficial
