Marriage Care is looking for a Practice and Safeguarding Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting and strengthening the high quality of our relationship counselling services.

This part-time (21 hours per week), home-based role will involve supporting the Head of Relationship Counselling to deliver a safe, professional, sustainable, and accessible service. The successful candidate will bring experience in supporting volunteers, administering a Domestic Abuse protocol, and liaising effectively and empathetically with both members of the public and volunteers, alongside a range of other relevant skills and attributes. The role requires some evening and weekend work, as well as office-based work and training one day per month at our Nottingham office.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Relationship Counselling to deliver a safe, professional, sustainable, and accessible service.
  • Assist with administering a Domestic Abuse protocol.
  • Liaise effectively and empathetically with members of the public and volunteers.
  • Support volunteers and manage related administrative tasks.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work, and training one day per month at the Nottingham office.
Qualifications and requirements:
  • Experience in supporting volunteers.
  • Experience in administering a Domestic Abuse protocol.
  • Strong communication and liaison skills with the public and volunteers.
  • Ability to work part-time 21 hours per week; home-based with occasional office-based duties.
  • Availability for some evening and weekend work; training once per month in Nottingham.
