Band 6 Children\’s Complex Care Nursing Care Co-ordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Children’s nurse to join our established team of Children’s Complex Care Nurses in Birmingham. This city‑wide service offers personalised specialist nursing support to children and families with a variety of highly complex physical health needs. The service operates seven days a week and 24 hours a day.

Note: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months covering maternity leave.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care according to agreed standards which are set and monitored.
• Develop and maintain rewarding therapeutic relationships with children & families in a community setting.
• Provide training and supervision to other members of the team including health‑care assistants, parents and family members, ensuring competence in meeting the care needs of specific children and young people.
• Participate in service developments and provide formal clinical supervision within the Children’s Complex Care Team.

Qualifications & Attributes

• Experienced Children’s Nurse with enhanced clinical skills.
• Advanced communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• A positive outlook, professional attitude, good team player and passion for delivering high‑quality, safe and compassionate child & family‑focused care.
