Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced medical secretary to work in the Birmingham Dental Hospital and School of Dentistry. As a Band 4 Senior Medical Secretary, you will provide professional medical secretarial support for the Oral Surgery department using inhouse and national systems. You will have the direct line management of 2 Band 3 medical secretaries and will support them with ensuring accurate and timely transcribing of all clinical correspondence and associated administrative tasks. Line management of 2 Band 3 medical secretaries, including sickness absence management, annual leave and PDR/mandatory training. Ensuring all clinical correspondence and other administrative tasks for Oral Surgery are completed accurately and timely. Covering for band 4 colleagues in times of annual leave and absence. Supporting the management team to ensure a robust medical secretarial service.

In accordance with UK Home Office requirements, Band 2 clinical and non-clinical roles and Band 3 Non-Clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship.
