Overview
The Team Administrator role supports Central Unplanned Community Nursing Teams with the administrative function that enables clinical care to be delivered in patients’ homes. Two full-time posts are available, 37.5 hours per week, on a 7-day rota including weekends and bank holidays (enhancements paid for weekend and bank holiday shifts). Current hours are between 08:00 and 18:00. The role works closely with clinical staff, using electronic patient systems to support the management of urgent referrals and allocation of clinical visits.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team, including typing letters, minutes of meetings and other documentation.
- Implement and maintain central filing systems for patient records, patient information, care plan documentation and staff documentation.
- Undertake office duties such as photocopying and replenishing information as required by the District Nurses or the team.
- Answer non-clinical queries from clients and their relatives seeking advice from the Nursing Staff.
- Use systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as NHS systems including RIO, ESR, CIF, Healthroster and stock ordering systems.
- Part of the interview process will include an English and Maths Test.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Ability to work closely with clinical staff and manage administrative processes to support patient care in home settings.
- Demonstrable experience with typing, minutes, filing, and maintaining documentation and filing systems.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; experience with NHS systems (RIO, ESR, CIF, Healthroster) and stock ordering systems.
- Good communication skills to handle non-clinical enquiries from clients and relatives.
- Awareness of visa / right to work requirements as applicable to UK employment.
