Are you a talented Biomedical educator who is passionate about teaching the next generation of Biomedical Scientists? If so, Birmingham City University is looking to recruit you.

Birmingham City University launched its Biomedical Sciences degree in 2017, leveraging its expertise and strong reputation in Health Sciences. Following significant growth and recent accreditation with the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, we are seeking to recruit a full-time, permanent teaching fellow with the skills and expertise to complement our existing team. Your expertise will develop and enhance our teaching and learning in Biomedical Sciences and support the development of a new Human Biosciences course. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to pedagogic research within the team.

We are specifically seeking an individual with expertise in Clinical Pathology or Clinical Biochemistry, although applications from highly innovative educators from any Biomedical Sciences field will be considered. The post holder is expected to engage with teaching across the School of Life and Health Sciences portfolio.

You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and ideally be recognized as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Applications from suitably qualified professionals with industrial or professional experience are particularly welcome. Applicants should ideally have teaching experience in Higher Education and demonstrate innovative, student-centered teaching practices.
