Reporting to the Director of School Operations, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative support to colleagues within the school. You will contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of school operations. You are required to liaise with academic staff, professional services, and external stakeholders to facilities a smooth and professional administrative service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing general administrative support to the School, ensuring timely and accurate completion of operational tasks.
- Support the organisation, servicing and minute taking of school-level meetings and committees.
- Supporting the engagement of casual workers and visiting lecturers, including processing paperwork, right to work checks, and liaison with HR.
- Maintaining accurate records of right to work documentation in accordance with legal and university requirements.
- Assisting with post and parcel management, including distribution and logging as required.
- Maintaining accurate records and databases relation to school operations, ensuring confidentiality and data protection compliance.
The Operations Assistant will have:
- Experience of working in an administrative role in a busy and varied office environment.
- Skills in organising meetings, taking minutes, and managing calendars or shared schedules.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience working with sensitive or confidential information.
- Skills in communicating clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders.
