We are looking for an experienced Specialist Project Manager to lead high-profile capital projects that shape the future of our University. If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoy delivering projects that make a real difference, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle from feasibility to post-construction evaluation.
- Develop project briefs, feasibility studies, and value-for-money options appraisals.
- Manage procurement and appointment of consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Act as Employer's Agent / Contract Administrator, overseeing contracts, valuations, variations, and certifications.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, leading project teams to deliver results.
- Implement governance, risk management, and best practice processes.
- Drive innovation in project delivery, including the use of BIM, Smart Buildings, and Soft Landings.
- Deputise for the Associate Director of Estates Development as required.
About You
- Degree in Project Management or a construction-related discipline (Engineering, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or similar).
- MSc in Project Management or equivalent professional qualification.
- Chartered status (MRICS, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent).
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale capital projects successfully.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing teams, budgets, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Confident in influencing decision-making and solving complex project challenges.
